A Virginia Tradition
Corcoran has been hand-crafting specialty wines, such as Port-style and dessert wines since 2002 and now offers Hard Ciders.
We are excited to carry on the tradition that Thomas Jefferson started back in 1769 when he planted numerous varieties of apples at Monticello.
Monticello produced 100’s of gallons of hard ciders each season. Hard cider was a favored beverage in the Colonies. It was considered more tasty and would remain fresh and usable longer than alternatives. In some places, it was used in lieu of currency.
Here at Corcoran, we continue the traditions of the past and have added a few new twists. Some of our creative offerings use peaches, cinnamon and even champagne yeast.

This cider is made using Champagne yeast and a variety of sweet apples to make a nice, crisp, refreshing beverage.

Port-styled Wine
Pairs great with charcuterie boards, nuts, cheeses, and olives, and other Mediterranean foods. Yet, it also goes well with main dishes such as meat, sushi, and surf & turf. Of course, it is excellent alongside dark chocolates.
Waterford
White Port-styled Wine
A fortified Port-style wine made in Virginia from Viognier grapes. This classy wine may be consumed as an appetizer, a stand-alone treat, or after your meal. The citrusy, nutty, and fruity White Port also complements salty foods. It is a delightful partner to fish and shellfish.

Using our locally grown Chambourcin and a blend of blackberries fermented together makes this lightly sweet red wine. Enjoy with spicy meals, such as curries and Thai food.
